Kosi Bay Casitas offers accommodation at a rustic Mozambican-style lodge located on the fringe of the exquisite Kosi Bay estuary. Our establishment overlooks a picturesque little wetland that offers solace and joy to bird-lovers and frogs alike! We strive to provide high levels of service and comfort in a relaxed environment and we hope to entice you back year after year with our fantastic activities, scrumptious food, sparkling swimming pool, and the ideal holiday environment.
We encourage flip-flops, sunscreen, sarongs, and adventurous spirits! The Kosi Bay estuary system is situated in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park which is a World Heritage Site. The lake system comprises four lakes that are interlinked by sandy channels which lead to the Kosi Bay Mouth – an area renowned for its marine biodiversity and a popular destination for fishermen and snorkelers alike.
Boaters are welcome to bring motorboats along for exploring or fishing on the lakes. No sea launches are allowed at Kosi Bay. Kosi Mouth is the nearest beach and is renowned for fantastic snorkeling due to the high biodiversity on a small rocky reef in the shallows of the estuary mouth. It is also famous for the fascinating traditional Thonga fish traps – a prime example of sustainable natural resource management in action and a vital source of food for the surrounding communities.
