In September 1999 All Steel Fencing entered the fledgling KZN Steel Palisade Fencing market with a brand new product called “Trident Palisade Fencing”. This new type of palisade fencing came with an innovative system that required no welding and an attractive, but extremely effective, paling-top design. The “Trident design is a legally protected design (SA Design no A99/1109) and the “notching system” of fixing the uprights to the horizontals has since been revised and patented (SA patent no 2001/9761).
The initial marketing strategy employed by Steel Palisade was to supply and install the palisade fencing and gates that were manufactured in their modest mini factory in Jacobs. After two years and phenomenal growth they were able to sell the installation division and further grow the manufacturing side which now employs its own tool-room and is fully geared up for both mass production and detailed jobbing.
The palisade fencing range now includes five different paling specifications, all manufactured in house with a variety of paling top designs. The range covers light duty domestic, through to heavy duty industrial and the factory has a capacity of 150 to 200 tons per month.
