Tanya Visser and The Gardener & Die Tuinier magazines are proud to announce the all-new Garden Carnival in KwaZulu-Natal, which promises to be a highlight on the 2021 calendar. With years of experience in organising Southern Africa’s premier gardening events, the team promises to bring you a weekend of gardening joy, as well as entertainment for the entire family.
The Garden Carnival will be held at the historic Shongweni Club in Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal, which is conveniently situated between Pietermaritzburg and Durban and which has all the facilities necessary for a first-class event of this magnitude. It will take place over the Heritage Weekend (24 – 26 September), and will allow us to welcome in spring in all its glory.
As you’d expect of an event with the energy and drive of Tanya behind it, the Garden Carnival will be jam-packed with things to do, buy and eat. There will be boundless shopping options, including unique, rare and special plants that are often impossible to find in KZN, as well as other bulbs, seeds and herbs, gardening goodies and crafts, garden décor and tools. There will be specialist plant and floral art displays for your enjoyment, and Tanya and other industry leaders and experts will share their top gardening tips at the FREE Talks and Demos.
Visitors will be able to relax at the Gin Bar and enjoy a range of gourmet food and enjoy show jumping in the arena. A Kids’ Zone will keep the youngsters suitably occupied. All COVID-19 protocols will be in place to ensure a safe and fun weekend for all.
