During the holiday season, the beach at Margate in KwaZulu-Natal becomes utterly transformed as thousands of visitors and locals flock to enjoy the sun and surf. During the Mardi Gras there are flea markets, holiday festivities, music concerts, exhibitions and beach competitions.
At night, Margate comes alive as the Margate Mardi Gras festivities take a turn towards dining, dancing and drinking. Relax with a drink or two and then dance the night away. Shop till you drop.
