Mount Park Guest Farm

Mount Park Guest Farm is situated in the beautiful Upper Dargle region of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, at the foot of the iNhlosane Mountain – 37 km from Howick. We provide self-catering accommodation, 17 grassed caravan / camp sites (with braais and 3-point electricity points) as well as two equipped caravans (The Glamper and Gypsey Cottage).   Three safari tents are available too.   Two ablutions offer rustic but neat amenities.   A feeling of peace and tranquillity is created by our 170-year-old Oak tree next to a running stream in the campsite area. The diverse combination of grasslands, indigenous forest and flowing streams provides an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity. The 120-hectare working farm has close to 30 hectares of natural forest. There is an amazing variety of birdlife and mammals. You may be lucky enough to hear the very rare Tree Hyrax, with its distinctive cry, on a warm night. Meals and beverages are served in the Bull and Speir restaurant for all guests. The menu is available on request. We also have a selection of frozen pre-cooked meals, treats and some necessities for purchase at our reception shop. Firewood is available at a minimal cost. Please note that Mount Park Guest Farm provides tranquil and peaceful Midlands accommodation and no music and unruly behavior are allowed unless a group booking has booked out the entire resort for a party.   No pets allowed. Activities: We also have a variety of activities available for the whole family, from fly fishing and canoeing on our farm dam, to exploring the arts and crafts of the Midlands Meander.  There are 7 hiking trails marked out on the farm. These range from easy to be advanced, and meander through the indigenous forests, past trickling waterfalls and even up to the top of the iNhlosane.  Also available are Table tennis; Boulais; bird watching; mountain biking (kids cycle track); volleyball; badminton; croquet; trampoline; animal farm and various board games.
